To celebrate the release of the new theatrical version of the anime " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba" based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Akaza Returns," it has been announced that the radio program "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba All Night Nippon GOLD" (Nippon Broadcasting System) will be broadcast from 10:00 PM on September 12th. Natsuki Hanae , who plays Tanjiro Kamado , and Hiro Shimono , who plays Zenitsu Agatsuma , will serve as hosts, with Takahiro Sakurai , who plays Giyu Tomioka , and Saori Hayami , who plays Shinobu Kocho , appearing as guests.
This will be the first collaboration with the show's "All Night Nippon GOLD" in about four years, since June 2021. Hanae and Shimono will talk about the first chapter of the " Infinity Castle Arc," and listeners will also be invited to submit emails, with segments planned including "Futsuota," "Each Final Battle," and "Me and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba!"
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba" tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, who joins the Demon Slaying Corps in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics sold worldwide is over 220 million.
"Infinity Castle Arc" is a trilogy, and "Chapter 1: Akaza Returns" was released on July 18th in 452 theaters, surpassing "Mugen Train". The running time is 155 minutes. In the 17 days since its release on July 18th, it has been a huge hit, grossing 17,639,550,000 yen and attracting over 12,550,000 viewers.
