On August 8th, footage of playful "NG scenes" featuring main characters Grodon, Glygon, and Woooooo from Disney and Pixar's new animated film "Elio" (currently in theaters) was released.
In Pixar films, the end credits often include scenes of Woody and Buzz from the "Toy Story" series, or scenes of the characters from the "Monsters, Inc." series, showing bloopers that look like the animated characters messed up during the performance, which is a source of enjoyment for fans.
The newly released NG scene features Woooo, a helper computer for the "Communiverse," where representatives from the stars gather, emitting red light and making an alarm-like sound as it changes shape. Woooo changes its light and sound patterns and multiple takes are done, but in the second half, Elio, growing impatient, covers his ears and covers his face with his hands.
The clapperboard then goes off, revealing a scene in which Glygon, the ruthless alien warrior and father of the alien boy Grodon, repeatedly stumbles over his lines. In the film, Glygon is portrayed as a terrifying character plotting to take over the Communiverse, but in the NG scene, he fails to properly pronounce the name of his own planet and race, "Hylarg," saying, "There's a Hylarg in the secret room... Ha, hi... Hyglia... There's a Hylarg in the room... A Hylagi?", resulting in a series of NGs. At the end, behind Elio, who looks astonished, Glygon is shown collapsing in laughter at his own slip-up.
The third scene is when Grodon coughs. Grodon groans at Elio when they first meet, causing them both to burst into laughter. Finally, Elio glances at the camera. This is the moment the two future best friends meet for the first time, introduce themselves, and deepen their friendship, signaling the start of their adventure.
The protagonist of "Elio" is Elio, a boy who loves space and feels lonely after losing his parents, the people who understood him the most. Elio believes that somewhere in this vast world there must be a place where he "really belongs." His heartfelt wish is answered, and he is invited to the dreamlike "Comniverse," where representatives of the stars gather. There, he meets Grodon, an alien boy who is just as lonely. The two share a bond, but a threat that will shake the "world of the stars" approaches. The key to their salvation lies in a "certain promise" made between the two lonely people... This is the story.
