Kanna Hashimoto stars in the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others). The 15th week, "This is our way of life," will begin on January 13th.
In the spring of 2010, Yui (Hashimoto) and Shoya (Sano Hayato) begin a happy married life together, working together. However, one day, Yui realizes that she is not feeling well. She continues to work, hiding this from those around her, but when Shoya notices that Yui has a fever, she goes to the hospital for a diagnosis. It turns out that she has nephritis, but she is also pregnant.
Yui is hospitalized for a while, where she meets a registered dietitian, Saijo Sayuri (Fujiwara Norika), and is deeply inspired by her guidance.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who always values her own individuality and who, as a nutritionist, connects people's hearts and futures. It is an original work by screenwriter Nonji Nemoto, who is known for NHK's drama "Honest Real Estate".
