It has been revealed that actress Ai Moritaka, known for her role as ToQ5/Kagra in the Super Sentai series "Ressha Sentai ToQger" (2014-15), will appear in the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club (TTFC) original special effects drama "Oyogenainn (working title)". She will play the maid Izumi.
"Oyogenainn" has been distributed on social media since December last year as a four-panel comic and GIF animation. It depicts the adventures of nine unique characters who can no longer swim in water. The live-action drama is written and directed by Yoshifumi Sakai of "Europe Kikaku".
Moritaka said, "It's a work that will make you laugh, warm your heart, and is generally soothing, and I think it will lift the spirits of those who watch it. Since it's being streamed on TTFC, we've also welcomed many guests with a background in special effects! It's a work that will be loved by everyone, regardless of age or gender!"
She also appealed to special effects fans, saying, "I am very happy to be able to be involved in this new way with the special effects that I was so grateful for 10 years ago with Ressha Sentai ToQger. I'm sure there were Kagura fans who wanted to see me with twin tails...But I hope you will enjoy seeing the grown-up me, struggling to take on the role of Nakai Izumi."
