The collector's edition of Fujiko F. Fujio's medium-length manga "Memories of the Future" (Shogakukan) was released on December 25th. The work is a masterpiece medium-length science fiction for adults that was serialized in "Big Comic" (Shogakukan) in 1991. The collector's edition has the same B5 size hard cover as when it was published in the magazine, and reproduces the colors from when it was serialized.
The collector's edition comes with figures of Nandorihito and Zashiki Boy produced by Medicom Toy. The Nandorihito figure is based on the one previously released in the "UDF (Ultra Detail Figure)" series, and for the first time, the original coloring has been reproduced. The Zashiki Boy figure is a complete reproduction of the one previously released by Medicom Toy as part of the "KUBRICK" series. The price is 7,500 yen.
"Memories of the Future" was Fujiko's last series, excluding "Doraemon." It tells the story of a once-hit manga artist, Nodo Masato, who is now struggling, but travels back in time and starts his life over again. In 1992, it was made into a movie directed by Morita Yoshimitsu, with Fujiko playing the role of a fortune teller.
