This will be the first time that Toho's annual box office revenues will reach the 90 billion yen range. This will surpass the 85.4 billion yen achieved in 2016 when director Makoto Shinkai's "Your Name." was released, making it the best result of their history.
Of the 29 films distributed by Toho, the animated feature film "Detective Conan: One million dollar guidepost" recorded a box office income of approximately 15.8 billion yen, making it the top performer of the year. Including this film, six films exceeded the 5 billion yen mark in box office income, including anime films such as "Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" (Spy × Family Code: White" (box office income of approximately 6.32 billion yen), as well as live-action films such as "Kingdom: The Return of the General" (box office income of approximately 8.03 billion yen), "The Last Mile" (box office income of approximately 5.91 billion yen), and "The Weird House" (box office income of approximately 5.07 billion yen).
