At the "Jump Festa 2025" event, which opened on December 21 at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City), a large number of figures and goods from the TV anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS," based on the popular manga by Suzuki Yuto that is currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), are on display.
At the Megahouse booth, figures of the main character, Taro Sakamoto, and others were unveiled. At the Bandai booth, the "SAKAMOTO DAYS Glasses Collection (Sakamoto's Glasses)," which reproduced Taro Sakamoto's glasses, was exhibited as a reference, and Taro Sakamoto's apron, the "SAKAMOTO DAYS Sakamoto Store Apron," was also on display.
With the TV anime series scheduled to air in January 2025, it appears that toy manufacturers and others are paying close attention to the series, with people in the industry saying, "It's attracting a lot of attention among next year's winter anime slate. There's also been growing interest in figurines and merchandise."
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is an action manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since November 2020. The story follows Sakamoto Taro, a former legendary assassin who runs a shop after retiring, as he fights against approaching assassins with his friends to protect the peaceful daily life he lives with his beloved family. The anime will be directed by Watanabe Masaki, who has worked on the "Battle Spirits" series and "Bartender," and produced by TMS Entertainment, which has worked on the "Lupin the Third" series. Tomokazu Sugita will play the main character, Sakamoto Taro. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks every Saturday at 11:00 pm from January 11, 2025.
"Jump Festa 2025" will be held from 9 am to 5 pm on December 21st and 22nd. Admission is free.
