A super teaser visual for " Culling Game", the sequel to the anime " Jujutsu Kaisen ", based on the manga by Gege Akutami serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released. It depicts Yuji Itadori gazing at his own hands stained red, feeling anguished and conflicted, with the copy "I can't be with everyone anymore."
It was also announced that a special compilation of the second season of the TV anime, "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu Jujutsu Kaisen : The Movie Compilation - The Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", will be released in theaters on May 30, 2025. A key visual depicting the "two strongest men", Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, was released.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in March 2018. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses when a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The final chapter was published in the 44th issue of the serialized magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" on September 30th, bringing the serialization to a close after about six and a half years. The comic series has sold over 100 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie version of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2023.
