The latest 5th volume of the manga "The JOJOLands" (Shueisha), the latest installment of the popular manga series " JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Adventure" by Hirohiko Araki , was released on December 18th. The 4th volume of the series' mook "JOJO magazine 2024 WINTER" (Shueisha) and the 4th volume of Kishibe Rohan's novel series "Kishibe Rohan Doesn't Laugh Short Story Collection" (Shueisha) were also released at the same time.
The cover of "JOJO magazine 2024 WINTER" is a new drawing by Araki, featuring the assassination team, the enemy characters of Part 5. It features an episode about the stained glass production that Araki was in the spotlight for assembling and supervising, spin-off manga and novels by popular authors such as Kyosuke Usuta's "Toshikazu Hazama's Subtle Adventure," and tribute illustrations of female characters by seven illustrators. The appendix is a special sticker of the assassination team.
To commemorate the release of the fifth volume of "The Jojo Lands," the series will be featured on the cover of the January 2025 issue of the serialized magazine "Ultra Jump" (published by the same publisher), which will be released on December 19th. As a joint project with "Jojo magazine 2024 Winter," a limited mail order project will also be held where you can purchase the first Super Action Statue figure of the series, "Jodi Joestar Figure."
A special collaboration PV between the Jodio Team from Part 9 and the Assassination Team from Part 5 will be released on YouTube at noon on December 18th. The third installment of the special quiz show "Let's Answer JoJo's Bizarre Questions!" will also be streamed at 10 am on the same day. Kendo Kobayashi, Takumi Ishida of the comedy duo "Kaminari", Manabu Takeuchi, Yuchami, and Atsuko Uchida will appear.
"The JOJOLands" has been serialized in "Ultra Jump" since February 2023. The story is about a boy named Jodio Joestar who lives on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and has the ambition to become a billionaire, aiming to reach the top of the world's mechanisms.
" JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Bizarre Adventure" is a popular manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by the same publisher) in 1986. It has gained popularity for its epic story depicting the blood ties and fate of the Joestar family, which begins with the meeting of two boys, Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, as well as its unique onomatopoeic expressions and impressive standing poses.
So far, the series has been serialized in parts 1, "Phantom Blood," 2, "Battle Tendency," 3, "Stardust Crusaders," 4, "Diamond is Unbreakable," 5, "Golden Wind," 6, "Stone Ocean," 7, "Steel Ball Run," and 8, "JoJolion." The total number of copies of the comic series published is over 120 million.
