Former idol group "Hinatazaka46" member and talent Yuka Kageyama appeared at the premiere screening of the movie "Salaryman Kintaro [Akatsuki]" (directed by Ten Shimoyama, scheduled for release on January 10, 2025) held in Tokyo on December 9th. When asked about her own unconventional side in relation to the contents of the movie, Kageyama revealed her "special ability" of "memorizing things after sleeping."
Kageyama, who appeared in a play this year, confessed, "I read the script once, went to sleep, and then memorized the entire play's script." When he said, "I didn't even have to look at the script during the reading," his co-star, Nobuyuki Suzuki, was surprised and said, "Isn't that the best?"
Furthermore, when she revealed, "I want to talk to everyone face to face and learn from them, so I try not to bring the script to the set," Takaaki Enoki commented, "That's a bit sarcastic," and Atsuko Asano was so surprised that she stumbled, saying, "No more." Fumino and director Ten Shimoyama also appeared at the event.
The film is a new two-part movie adaptation of Hiroshi Motomiya's popular manga "Salaryman Kintaro," which has sold a total of 30 million copies. The first part, "Salaryman Kintaro [Akatsuki]," will be released nationwide from January 10, 2025, and the second part, "Salaryman Kintaro [Kamen]," will be released nationwide from February 7, 2025. The first part depicts Kintaro's "birth," while the second part depicts Kintaro's assault on the huge vested interests that control Japan.
