Fuji Television:20th Anniversary Noitamina moves to 11pm nationwide network, first episode is "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de (The Dinner Table Detective)"

It has been revealed that Fuji TV's anime slot "Noitamina" will be moving to the 11pm slot on the network's nationwide network from April 2025. Noitamina is Fuji TV's anime slot that began broadcasting in 2005 and has been broadcast late at night for a long time, but it will be moving in April 2025, the 20th anniversary of its broadcast. The first work in the new Noitamina will be the TV anime "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de (The Dinner Table Detective)," based on Atsuya Higashikawa's popular mystery novel, which will be broadcast from April 2025. The announcement was made on December 9th at Fujiani 2025, an event held in Tokyo to announce the latest information on Fuji TV's anime.

The main cast of "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de" has also been announced. Voice actress Kana Hanazawa will play Hosho Reiko, who is a detective at Kunitachi Police Station in Tokyo and the daughter of the world-famous Hosho Group, a conglomerate. Kaji Yuki will play Kageyama, Reiko's butler and driver, who has a sharp deductive ability and a sharp tongue. Miyano Mamoru will play Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro, a police inspector at Kunitachi Police Station and Reiko's superior.

Hanazawa commented on the appeal of the work, "I think the unique charm of this anime is the dialogue between the characters, which is captivating with its ever-changing expressions and dynamic actions." Kaji expressed his joy, saying, "During the audition, I thoroughly explored within myself the right balance between butler-likeness and sharp tongue. When I heard that I had passed, I was so happy I could feel my heart beating hard." Miyano expressed his enthusiasm for the dubbing, saying, "He's smart, but he also has a lot of cool and comical reactions, so I'm really trying my best to be at the peak of excitement during the dubbing (laughs)."

The staff was also announced, with Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Ace of Diamond, Shirokuma Cafe, etc.) as director, Mariko Kunizawa as series composer, Izumi Kawata as character designer and chief animation director, and Takeshi Hata as music director. Madhouse will produce the series.

"Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de (The Dinner Table Detective)" is set in Kunitachi, Tokyo, and is a full-scale mystery story of "butler detective x young lady detective" in which Hosho Reiko, a rookie detective at Kunitachi Police Station but the daughter of the world-famous Hosho Group, encounters a case that is solved by Kageyama, Reiko's butler and driver, who has a sharp deductive ability and sharp tongue. A drama series starring Sakurai Sho and Kitagawa Keiko was broadcast on Fuji TV from October to December 2011, and a movie was released in 2013. It has been adapted into a comic book, a stage play, and other media mix. The series has sold over 4.95 million copies in total.
