Fuji Television:"TO BE HERO X" will be the show following "ONE PIECE" on Sunday morning at 9:30 in the Fuji TV x Aniplex anime slot.

It was announced on December 9th that "TO BE HERO X", a completely new original anime produced by Aniplex and China's largest video site "bilibili", will be broadcast every Sunday at 9:30 am on Fuji TV starting in April 2025. Fuji TV's 9:30 am Sunday broadcast time slot has been used by the TV anime "ONE PIECE", based on the popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, since October 2006, but it has been announced that the broadcast time slot will be changed from April 2025, and it has been revealed that the successor program will be "TO BE HERO X".

The 9:30am Sunday broadcast time slot will be an anime time slot where Fuji TV and Aniplex will team up to create new works, with "To Be Hero X" being the first to be broadcast. The new broadcast time slot for "One Piece" will be announced at "Jump Festa 2025" to be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on December 22nd.

The announcement was made at Fujiani 2025, an event held in Tokyo on December 9th to announce the latest information on Fuji Television's anime.

"TO BE HERO X" is a superhero action drama set in a world where heroes with special abilities are cheered on. Hero rankings change depending on the "trust value" of the people, and the absolute hero who stands at the top of the rankings is called "X". The film is directed by Li Haolin, who has worked on "Time Agent-LINK CLICK-" and "Heavenly Manifesto". The 10 top heroes are played by a luxurious cast of voice actors, including Miyano Mamoru, Hanazawa Kana, Uchiyama Kouki, Nakamura Yuichi, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Sakura Ayane, Minase Inori, Yamadera Kouichi, Shimazaki Nobunaga, and Hanae Natsuki.

It was also announced that "SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Rei", a collaboration between Hiroyuki Sawano's vocal project "SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]" and singer-songwriter Rei, will be in charge of the opening theme "INERTIA". Singer SennaRin will be in charge of the ending theme "KONTINUUM". The opening video and cuts featuring the 10 heroes have also been released.

Sawano commented, "I can feel the energy of the work from the released footage, and as a viewer, I'm looking forward to the broadcast. I feel that having Rei from Newspeak join us as the vocalist has helped to bring out the groove and momentum that the song needed to sound more powerfully and emotionally. I would be happy if the song "INERTIA" can be one of the triggers that gets people excited about the story and world of "TO BE HERO X."

Rei said, "I am truly honored to have been selected as the guest vocalist for the SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] project. The moment I heard it for the first time, I was moved by the powerful song "INERTIA," which seems to release hidden beliefs within chaos. I stood in the recording booth and put what I felt into song, and the recording went smoothly, as if I was perfectly on the same wavelength as Sawano's music. I think I was able to carry that wave directly onto the recording. It was a really fun day. I sincerely hope that the song "INERTIA," which is mysterious and addictive, yet allows you to easily empathize with the main character, will resonate with many people along with the anime."

SennaRin commented, "Ever since I was a child, I've always admired heroes more than princesses, so 'TO BE HERO X' is a dream come true for me, and I feel happy to be in charge of the ending theme. The ending video was so cool that it gave me goosebumps. I hope that 'KONTINUUM' will be an element that helps everyone enjoy the work even more."

The TV anime "ONE PIECE" began airing in October 1999, and has been broadcast on Fuji TV every Sunday at 9:30 am since October 2006. From October 20th to March 30th, 2025, there will be a "recharging period" during which the production team will begin preparations to further improve the quality of the anime, and it will be broadcast in a new regular time slot from April 2025. During this period, the "SPECIAL EDITED VERSION "ONE PIECE" Fish-Man Island Arc" is currently being aired.
