It has been announced that the third season of the TV anime "Fire Force", based on the manga by Ohkubo Atsushi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), entitled "Fire Force Season 3", will be broadcast on the late-night anime slot "Animeism" on MBS, TBS and other networks from April 2025. The third season will be split into two cours, with the second cour to begin broadcasting in January 2026.
A key visual depicting the protagonist Shinra and members of Special Fire Force Company 8 heading out to the final battle, as well as the first trailer featuring Shinra, Special Fire Force Company 8 and other special fire fighters, the Evangelist faction, and Joker, have also been released.
"Fire Force" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" from 2015 to 2022. It depicts the exploits of a special fire brigade team as they face the terror and mystery of fire amid a phenomenon in which people suddenly burst into flames and turn into fiery monsters. The series has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2019, and the second season, "Season 2," aired from July to December 2020.
