Kanna Hashimoto stars in the NHK morning drama "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others). On November 30th, we will look back on the 9th week, "What does it mean to support someone?" (November 25th to 29th). The station's announcer Kozo Takase will be in charge of the narration.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" in which the heroine, born in 1989, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist with the "gal spirit" of valuing her own individuality at all times. It is an original work by Nonji Nemoto, a screenwriter known for the NHK drama "Shojiki Real Estate".
In the 9th week, Yui (Hashimoto) makes a menu for Shoya (Sano Hayato), but Shoya is told by his senior pitcher Sawada (Sekiguchi Mandy) that "it's not enough." Shoya thinks so in his heart, but tries to keep quiet about it to Yui. Eventually, he realizes that Yui didn't understand the person she was supporting. Sachi (Maika Yamamoto), a classmate, reaches out to help Yui. Meanwhile, Ayumu (Riisa Naka), who has not been seen for a while since leaving the Yoneda family, suddenly appears. Ayumu visits the grave of her best friend Maki, who died in the earthquake, and there she meets Maki's father, Takao Watanabe (Naoto Ogata), but Takao tells her not to come here again...
