The fifth installment of the "Traveling Through the Seasons with Nekoneko and Jinshi" project for the second season of the TV anime "The Apothecary Diaries," based on the light novel by Natsu Hyuga, which was born from the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist," has been released. The project releases new visuals themed on seasonal plants on the 22nd of each month, and the theme of the fifth installment is "Autumn Leaves." It depicts Maomao cleaning up fallen leaves and Jinshi picking up leaves from Maomao's head.
The light novel version of "The Apothecary Diaries" is published by Hero Bunko (Imagine Info), and the comic adaptation has also become popular. The original series has sold over 38 million copies in total. The story is set in the glamorous harem of a certain continent, where Nekoneko, a poison taster, becomes embroiled in an incident that occurs in the harem, which is full of conspiracies and rumors, together with the handsome eunuch Jinshi.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season will be broadcast on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" every Friday at 11pm starting January 10, 2025, for two consecutive seasons.
