It has been announced that the animated film "AKIRA," based on the manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, will have a free premiere on the official YouTube channel of TMS Entertainment from 9pm on November 30th. To commemorate the channel reaching 700,000 subscribers, it will be made available for free for a limited time until December 6th.
"AKIRA" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Young Magazine" (Kodansha) from 1982 to 1990. The animated film was released in 1988 and directed by Otomo, the original author himself.
A special promotional video based on the trailer from the 1988 release has also been released on YouTube.
