A Blu-ray Disc (BD) containing footage from the official orchestral concert "ARIA The SINFONIA ~Viaggio 2~," commemorating the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of the anime series "ARIA," based on Kozue Amano's manga, will be released on October 29th. An original illustration by Amano that will be used on the BD's special sleeve case has been released. It depicts the three Undines, Akari, Aika, and Alice, guiding someone to a door that leads to the water planet, Aqua.
"ARIA The SINFONIA ~Viaggio 2~" was held on February 16th at the Sumida Triphony Hall (Sumida-ku, Tokyo). Tickets for both performances were so popular that they sold out on the same day. The Blu-ray includes footage of the evening performance, re-edited by music director Yasuno Sato. 9,020 yen.
As a bonus feature, the DVD will include behind-the-scenes footage of the dubbing of "Navigation 64 Holiday," a story selected by Director Junichi Sato himself from among the episodes of the original comic that have not yet been animated. The episode was originally scheduled to be dubbed live at an orchestra concert, but was cancelled due to the absence of Erino Hazuki, who played Akari Mizunashi, and was a "phantom."
A special venue-exclusive Blu-ray of "ARIA The SINFONIA ~Viaggio2~" will be released in advance at "ARIA The CONCERT 2025 ~A Once-in-20-Years Miracle~," which will be held at Pacifico Yokohama (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on October 13th. The special venue-exclusive bonus is a set of two original cards featuring an original illustration by Amano and the main visual of "ARIA The SINFONIA ~Viaggio2~."
"ARIA" is based on a manga that was serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Comic Blade" (Mag Garden, currently out of print) from 2002 to 2008. Set in a town modeled after the water city of Venice, the story follows the protagonist, Akari Mizunashi, as she trains to become a full-fledged guide at the ARIA Company, and her interactions with her friends and seniors. The first season of the TV anime aired in 2005, the second in 2006, and the third in 2008, and an original video animation (OVA) was also produced.
The release of the animated film "ARIA The AVVENIRE" in 2015, and "ARIA The CREPUSCOLO" and "ARIA The BENEDIZIONE" in 2021 as "blue curtain calls" also drew attention.
