The female techno pop trio Perfume will be appearing on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko no Heya" (TV Asahi), broadcasting at 1pm on November 12th.
Perfume has been together for 25 years, and has celebrated its 20th anniversary since its major debut. Almost every year, they hold concerts overseas and participate in music festivals. This year they performed in Thailand for the first time, and were surprised to see audience members who did not know Japanese humming along to their latest songs. They dance in high heels because they feel a special attachment to them, but they recall the difficulties they faced, saying that in some places the outdoor humidity made the shoes slippery, or the desert sand was rough, and they had to sing in difficult conditions.
The three met at a singing and dancing school when they were in elementary school. Until their debut, their parents acted as managers and supported them, and they say they are still happy when the three families come to tour overseas together.
