It has been revealed that actor Kawaguchi Haruna will be co-starring with Matsumura Hokuto of the popular group SixTONES for the first time in Nippon Television's January 2025 drama series "Ensemble" (Saturdays at 10 p.m.). The drama is said to be a legal love story between a "realistic" female lawyer and an "idealistic" rookie lawyer, and Kawaguchi said, "I want to make a drama that makes you feel warm, refreshed, and laugh without thinking too hard about it."
Kouyama Sena (Kawaguchi), a lawyer who handles many cases of love trouble and believes that "love is bad value for money," is confronted by Madohara Yu (Matsumura), a rookie lawyer who believes in love and sincerity. The two polar opposites become partners and take on various love trouble trials, applying the "lessons of love" they learn there to their own relationships in this legal love story. The script is written by Kuniyoshi Saki, Morohashi Hayato, and Nishioka To Neil, and the director is Kawai Hayato and others.
Matsumura said, "After reading the proposal and script, I felt it was a warm and gentle story. At the same time, there were also some funny parts, and I thought it would be a very suitable production for 10pm on Saturdays, a time when people of all ages are at home and have the TV on. I am very happy to be able to appear in such a drama in the role of Madohara Yu."
