It has been announced that the TV anime "Let's Go Karaoke!(Karaoke Iko!)", based on Yama Yama's popular manga, will be broadcast in 2025. The main cast has also been announced, with voice actors Horie Shun playing Oka Satomi, a third-year junior high school student and head of the choir club, and Ono Daisuke playing Narita Kyoji, assistant to the fourth generation Matsuribayashi-gumi wakagashira. It has also been announced that Kazuyama's manga "Crazy About You" will be adapted into a TV anime, which will be broadcast in 2025.
Horie commented, "Karaoke's specialty is Showa-era pop music, and I especially love Chiaki Naomi. I'm Horie Shun. People are very surprised when I tell them I'm from Osaka, but I'm so deeply influenced by Tokyo that I approached the dubbing with the momentum of dipping my heart in a thick Osaka-style sauce twice. I think Daisuke Ono's words after all the dubbing was finished, "It was fun," say it all. I myself can't wait for it to air. Please look forward to it!"
Ono said, "I like Kazuyama-sensei's work because it is cool and stylish, yet has a human touch. Please watch the strange fate of the boy and the yakuza until the end. Thank you!"
To commemorate the announcement of the cast, a campaign will be held to give away autographed colored paper by Horie and Ono. Those who follow the anime official X (Twitter) and repost the relevant post are eligible.
