It has been revealed that Kishidan Expo 2024, a large-scale festival to be held by rock band Kishidan at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on November 9th and 10th, will be exclusively broadcast and streamed for a total of 12 hours on WOWOW in January and February next year.
Kishidan Expo was first held in 2003, and since it became a festival in 2012, it has been held at Sodegaura Seaside Park (Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture). In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held as an audience-free festival at a live house, and was canceled in 2021, but will return in 2022. Last year, the event was postponed due to the band's leader, Sho Ayakoji, undergoing vocal cord treatment, but this gave Ayakoji an opportunity to reexamine Kishidan Expo. After careful consideration, it was announced that the date would be changed from mid-September to early November, and that the venue would change from the outdoors at Sodegaura Seaside Park to an indoor venue at Makuhari Messe.
WOWOW will broadcast and stream the first day's performance in two parts in January next year, titled "Kishidan Banpaku 2024 ~Shin Kishidan Banpaku~". The second day's performance will be broadcast and streamed in two parts in February, allowing viewers to enjoy live performances by all artists over both days.
In addition, in March, a one-hour program titled "Kishidan Banpaku 2024 ~Shin Kishidan Banpaku~ Post-Special Program" will be broadcast and streamed, taking viewers backstage at the two-day performance at Makuhari Messe and featuring interactions between the performers and behind-the-scenes stories.
