The first volume of Kataoka Tonchi's manga "The Witch of the End and Her World Journey," currently being serialized in the manga magazine "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), was released on November 8th. The story is a cross-cultural adventure fantasy about a former most evil witch who travels the world, and is toyed with by kind humans, becoming more and more "lovey-dovey," which has garnered popularity with comments such as "We can support Elena! Do your best!". The story also received high praise in a survey conducted by the magazine when the series first began.
"The Witch of the End and Her World Journey" began serialization in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in July of this year. In the long battle between the Demon King's army and humanity, the most evil witch Elena Mercurio almost beats humanity to a pulp, but she faces resistance from humanity and loses her magical powers. When she regains her magical powers, she is meant to finally put an end to humanity, but after meeting the simple and kind villager Taro, she ends up going on a journey to help people instead... This is the story.
Morishita Makoto, author of the manga "Sudachi no Maoujou," wrote a recommendation for the work, saying, "The Witch of the End, who is at the mercy of the physical monster villagers, is just so cute! I'd love to follow the journey of the two of them as a nameless mob character."
