The main cast of the new TV anime "Aquarion: Myth of Emotions", the fourth season of the popular anime "Aquarion" series, has been announced. Voice actress Yumiri Hanamori will play the main character, Otori Sako, who attends Enoshima Private Academy, where talented students are gathered and given an elite education. It was also announced that Azumi Waki will play Amaha Momohime, Makoto Koichi will play Tsukishiro Rimiya, Aki Toyosaki will play Hatano Toshi, and Yoshimi Kohara will play Ichiki Sayo. Each character has a complex, and these personalities will be key points in the new work.
Three new forms of the mechanical angel Aquarion, which is completed by "planetary fusion" of three vector machines, have been revealed. There are three forms: Aquarion Siegel, the basic form; Aquarion Teal, who is skilled in swordsmanship; and Aquarion Pheo, who uses a bow and arrow. The second key visual and promotional video have also been released, depicting characters and a vector machine against the backdrop of Enoshima's yacht harbor.
Hanamori, who plays the main character Otori Sako, a delinquent and outcast from her class, commented, "I am very grateful and honored to be involved in the Aquarion series, a work that has been loved by so many people for so long. Waki, who plays Amaha Momohime, a caring girl with a strong sense of justice, said, "I am very honored to be able to appear in the long-running, hugely popular series, Aquarion...! Momohime, whom I will be playing, is someone who is highly respected by those around her. She is a little older than Sakko and the others, so she is very reliable and at first glance seems flawless, but she is missing a part of her emotions, which makes her very sad... That's the kind of girl she is. The children will be the main players in the fighting, so it will be a nail-biting story filled with concern and support. There will be some very impressive battles, so I hope you will look forward to it!" Koichi, who plays Tsukishiro Rimiya, a skillful, sociable, and popular boy, said, "Congratulations on the new Aquarion series being made into an anime! I can't wait to see how the characters will move forward! Rimiya is a boy who is aware of the emotions he is missing, but lives his life skillfully hiding these parts. How will he fight aboard Aquarion, and will his heart be moved? Obara, who plays Ichiki Sayo, Sakko's childhood friend and a warm-hearted girl, said, "I've been looking forward to announcing this to everyone. She also has a slightly mysterious side, so I played her in each episode with the feeling of being close to her. An advance screening of the series will be held at Tachikawa Cinema City Cinema Two (Tachikawa, Tokyo) on December 7th. Hanamori, Koichi, Toyosaki, and Obara will be in attendance.
The new TV anime will be the fourth season, following "Genesis of Aquarion" which aired in 2005, "Aquarion EVOL" which aired in 2012, and "Aquarion Logos" which aired in 2015. Set in Enoshima, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the story follows the boys and girls who attend Enoshima Academy, a private school that brings together talented students from all over the country, as they fight against mysterious, invasive weapons and mythical beasts in fighter planes called Vector Machines that are powered by emotion. The series will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, TV Aichi, tvk, BS Asahi, and others from January 2025.
