It has been announced that BANDAI SPIRITS' new plastic model production factory, Bandai Hobby Center (Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City), will begin operations in the summer of 2025. Construction is scheduled for completion in January 2025, with operations to begin after the installation of production equipment.
The new factory will be built on a site of approximately 14,724 square meters close to the current Bandai Hobby Center main building with the aim of ensuring a more stable production system. A new tour course will be set up within the factory where visitors can learn about manufacturing through plastic models.
BANDAI SPIRITS has previously strengthened its plastic model production functions, starting operations at the new Bandai Hobby Center building in December 2020. When the new factory begins full operation in fiscal 2026, it is expected to be able to increase production by approximately 35% compared to fiscal 2023.
