It has been announced that part 1 of "BEASTARS FINAL SEASON," the final episode of the anime "BEASTARS," based on the manga by Itagaki Paru that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), will be released on Netflix from December 5th. It was also announced that Chiba Shigeru will play the Komodo dragon Gosha, along with Miki Shinichiro as Yahya, Okino Koji as Melon, Genda Tesshō as Sagwan, and Orikasa Fumiko as Seven.
In the final episode, Legoshi leaves the school and heads out into society to start a new life, and the Beastars, who support the beast society, begin a certain investigation to get to the truth behind the rapidly increasing number of cannibalism cases. The series will be released in two seasons. The main PV for part 1, featuring Legoshi and the others, was also released on YouTube. It was also announced that singer-songwriter Yuka will be in charge of the ending theme "Feel Like This."
"BEASTARS" is a manga featuring anthropomorphized animals, set in a world where carnivores and herbivores coexist and cannibalism is taboo, depicting an ensemble cast of animals including the grey wolf Legoshi. It also won the Manga Taisho Award in 2018, which was a hot topic. It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" from 2016 to 2020.
The anime is produced by Orange, who also produced "Land of the Lustrous." Legoshi is played by Kobayashi Chikahiro and Senbongi Sayaka is played by Haru. The first season aired from October to December 2019, and the second season from January to March 2021.
