It has been announced that the Dolby Cinema version of the Kyoto Animation anime Violet Evergarden: The Movie (directed by Ishidate Taichi) will be screened at 10 cinemas nationwide, including Marunouchi Piccadilly (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), from November 15th. To commemorate the film being selected for the first Dolby Cinema Award at the Dolby Cinema Japan Awards 2024, the Dolby Cinema version released on November 13th, 2020 will be screened again. A replica ticket commemorating the viewing of the Dolby Cinema will be distributed as a gift to attendees.
Violet Evergarden is based on a light novel written by Akatsuki Kana and illustrated by Takase Akiko, which won the Grand Prize at the 5th Kyoto Animation Awards.
