The trailer for "Love Live! School Idol Musical the DRAMA," the first live-action drama based on the popular anime series "Love Live!", has been released on YouTube. Ten high school girls appear, played by former member of idol group "Hinatazaka46" Watanabe Miho and idol group "≠ME" member Tomita Nanakaze.

"I've found an idol I like!" and "I've never been this crazy about someone before," says Rurika (Watanabe) with a dazzling smile. The girl Rurika falls in love with is Anzu (Tomita), the center of the idol club selected for the performing arts course at Takizakura Girls' Academy. She is captivated by the singing and dancing performed by Anzu and the other members of the idol club, and a certain feeling begins to grow in Rurika's heart. Scenes from the first episode, depicting the members of Tsubakisakura Girls' High School on their way to school and chatting, have also been released.

The "Love Live!" series was launched as a project in 2010, and has since spawned such titles as "Love Live!", "Love Live! Sunshine!!", "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club", and "Love Live! Superstar!!", as well as TV anime and live events.

"Love Live! School Idol Musical the DRAMA" tells the story of Takizakura Girls' Academy in Osaka, which has successfully branded itself thanks to the activities of its performing arts course idol club, and Tsubakisakka Girls' High School in Hyogo, a traditional preparatory school. When Tsubaki Rurika and Takizawa Anzu, the daughters of the presidents of two rival schools, meet through their idol activities, big changes begin to take place in the small world that surrounds them.

Watanabe will play Rurika and Tomita will play Anzu, with Asai Nanami, Yasumoto Ayaka, Anzu Julia, Nakamura Yuna, Yamauchi Mizuki, Rina, Yura Akemi, and Yamamoto Airi also appearing. It will be broadcast every Thursday at 1:29am on MBS's Drama Phil time slot starting November 21st. It will also be broadcast on TV Kanagawa, TV Saitama, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and Chiba TV.
