The second series of the drama "Arigato" (TBS), starring singer Mizuzenji Kiyoko, will begin airing on BS12 TwellV from November 7th.
"Arigato" is a classic Showa-era family drama starring Mizuzenji and produced by Ishii Fukuko, which began airing in 1970. The drama was hugely popular at the time and aired up to the fourth series, with the protagonist's occupation changing.
The second series is also famous for having achieved the highest audience ratings of any commercial TV drama in history. The protagonist is a nurse, and the drama depicts the human drama of nurses and doctors in the general hospital "Tsunashi Hospital." Mizuzenji's affable character and the romance she develops with Ishizaka Koji as the episodes progress also attracted the attention of viewers.
Two episodes will be aired consecutively every Thursday from 7pm starting November 7th.
