It has been announced that the second chapter of the animated film Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club: Final Chapter, based on the popular Love Live! series, will be released in winter 2025. A teaser visual has also been released.
Nijigasaki High School Idol Club began activities in 2017, following Love Live!'s μ's and Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aqours. The series depicts the daily activities of members of the school idol club at Nijigasaki High School, a private high school in Odaiba, Tokyo, as they aim to become the number one school idol, sometimes as rivals and sometimes as friends.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October to December 2020, and the second season from April to June 2022. The new episode OVA (original video animation) "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club NEXT SKY" was released in theaters in June 2023. The first chapter of the "Final Chapter" was released on September 6th.
