All five episodes of "TXQ FICTION," a popular fake documentary series produced by TV Tokyo's Tokio Omori, will be screened at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo starting June 1st. The event is being held as a pre-release event for the film "Iai" (directed by Zenzo Sakai), which was planned by producer Omori and will be released on June 19th.
The five films to be screened are: "UFO Mountain" (4 episodes) on June 1st at 7pm; "I Apologise to the Iinuma Family" (4 episodes) on June 5th at 7pm; "Magical Girl Yamada" (3 episodes) on June Getsuku at 7pm; "Looking for Ishinagaki Kue" (4 episodes) on June 9th at 7pm; and "Ryunosuke Kamiki" (4 episodes) on June 11th at 7pm and June 15th at 6pm. Talk shows with producer Omori and director Terauchi Kotaro are also scheduled after each screening on June 5th, June 8th, and June 11th.
A fake documentary is a work that presents fiction as fact through documentary-style direction. "TXQ FICTION," produced by Omori, became a hot topic after its broadcast, sparking much discussion and analysis online.
