The 35th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi , aired on November 14th, and it was revealed that the average viewer ratings (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) were 16.1% for households and 9.0% for individuals. This surpassed the 16.0% for households and 8.7% for individuals of the first episode (broadcast on September 29th), setting a new record for the show.
" Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. Based on the life of Yakumo Koizumi(Lafcadio Hearn) and his wife Setsu, the story follows the heroine, who loves ghost stories, as she lives her ordinary, everyday life with her foreign husband. The story is not based on an original novel, but is an original work by screenwriter Mitsuhiko Fujiki, who has worked on NHK's drama "Asagaya Sisters' Relaxed Life" and WOWOW's "Shooting Break Series."
In episode 35, Toki (Takaishi)'s family finds out that she is Heaven's (Tommy Bastow) maid. Furthermore, Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe), Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki), and Kan'emon (Fumiyo Kohinata) also find out about Tae (Keiko Kitagawa), who has become a beggar. Just as Toki's family is about to question her about keeping quiet about Tae, Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki) visits the Matsuno household.
All of the secrets that Toki had been hiding from his family come to light...and so the story unfolds.
