NTT Docomo Business (formerly NTT Communications)'s new TV commercial, "DX: Caring for People," starring actors Sadao Abe and Takako Matsu, has been released on YouTube ahead of its nationwide broadcast starting November 1st.
The two have often appeared together as a married couple, including in the July drama "Shiawase na Kekkon" (TV Asahi), but this is their first time appearing together in a commercial. Matsu, playing an NTT Docomo Business salesperson, visits Abe, playing a manufacturing company manager. The commercial depicts the two informing him of the company's name change and discussing their desire to make the world a happier place through digital transformation.
In an interview after filming, Abe revealed, "When we were walking together (in the scene), the director told me, 'Don't get so close' (laughs)," and Matsu also said, "I've played married couples before, so it was a little difficult to get the distance right (laughs)," and they both reflected on how fresh their roles were.
