It was revealed on Akari Takaishi 20th that the average weekly viewership rating (Asadora drama "Bakebake" (General TV, Monday-Saturday 8am and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was 14.7% (calculated from Video Research, Kanto region).
"Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. Based on the story of Yakumo Koizumi(Lafcadio Hearn) and his wife Setsu, the story follows a couple, with a love of ghost stories, as they go about their everyday lives together with their foreign husband. Takaishi plays the main character, Toki Matsuno, while Tommy Bastow plays Toki's husband, Lefkada Heaven.
In the third week, Toki (Takaishi) and Ginjiro (Kanichiro) begin their married life. They share the same hobbies, both of whom love ghost stories, and thanks to the hardworking Ginjiro, they are making steady progress in repaying their debts. Toki lives happily with Ginjiro, who is trying hard to fit in with the Matsuno family.
Meanwhile, at the weaving factory where Toki works, in addition to the worsening economy, the president, Den (Shinichi Tsutsumi), falls ill, creating an atmosphere of anxiety, and Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki ) is appointed acting president.
Toki volunteers to nurse Den. Meanwhile, Sannojo has mixed feelings after learning that Toki is Den and Tae's ( Keiko Kitagawa ) daughter. Even so, Den tells Toki, "You are not my child and Tae's. You are Tsukasanosuke Matsuno and Matsuno Fumi's child. From the moment you were born, and always will be..." Shortly after that, Den "passes away"... and the story unfolds.
