Porno Graffitti will be performing the opening theme for "My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON"

It has been announced that the band Porno Graffitti will be performing the opening theme "THE REVO" for the eighth and final season of the TV anime " My Hero Academia, " based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). The band also performed the opening theme "THE DAY" for the first season of the TV anime, which aired in 2016, and after about nine years, they will now be performing the opening for "FINAL SEASON." A promotional video for the song has been released on YouTube, showcasing a snippet of the song.

Porno Graffitti commented, "Nine years after performing the opening theme for the first season of the anime, we have been given the opportunity to perform the opening theme for ' My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON.' We hope that this song will encourage the characters who work hard to turn the impossible into possible, as well as everyone watching."

This trailer is packed with scenes from the final battle between the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya as Deku, and the Tomura Shigaraki, the embodiment of destruction and the most ferocious enemy in history. As Shigaraki seeks to destroy everything, Deku, who once saw the "crying boy" within him, tries to save his heart even as they face off in a deadly battle. The trailer depicts Deku as a "hero" who fights for others, no matter how much he is hurt, and the people who watch and cheer him on.

"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2016, the second from March to September 2017, the third from April to September 2018, the fourth from October 2019 to April 2020, the fifth from March to September 2021, the sixth from October 2022 to March 2023, and the seventh from May to October 2024. The "FINAL SEASON" will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting from October 4th.
