"Anpan" Episode 98: Eisuke Mutsuhara makes his first appearance

The 98th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 13th. The episode featured the first appearance of Eisuke Mutsuhara (played by Hinata Todo), an up-and-coming director, lyricist, and scriptwriter who is modeled after Ei Rokusuke, and viewers responded to his strong character.

In episode 98, seven years have passed, and Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) still shows no signs of success as a manga artist. One day, Takuya Ise(Motoki Omori ) comes to the Yanai household with the uniquely aura-filled Eisuke Mutsuhara. Takashi is not at home, but Ranko (Kawai Yumi) and Meiko ( Nanoka Hara Yuumi Kawai ), decide to listen to what he has to say. Takuya and Eisuke are planning to put on a musical, and they want Takashi to handle the stage art.

Eisuke enthusiastically stated, "We will make this the first musical in Japan by Japanese people, for Japanese people, that only we can do, not a copy of anyone else," and declared, "We will do something interesting. To that end, we have decided to ask for your husband's help." Takuya then retorted, "Not yet. You said you would decide after meeting Mr. Yanai," but Eisuke replied, "If your wife is such a wonderful person, I'm sure your husband will be fine too. Let's leave it to Mr. Yanai."

When Takashi returned home, he heard the story from Nobu and decided to visit Takuya and Eisuke's rehearsal studio the next day. While talking with Ranko at a cafe, Nobu asked, "Takashi, I went to the rehearsal studio for that musical. What did you think?" Ranko replied, "Mr. Mutsuhara, he seemed like quite an eccentric person, but that's just my impression, but I don't think you and Takashi would get along."

When Takuya visits the rehearsal studio, Eisuke suddenly appears in front of him, approaches him, and stares at him silently from close range. When Takuya notices this and runs over to them, Eisuke suddenly tells Takuya, "Taku-chan and I have quit all our jobs. You too should throw everything away and devote yourself to this musical," and then leaves.

Takuya introduces him as "He's director and writer Mutsuhara Eisuke. He's a strange guy, but he's a genius," but Taka is confused and asks, "Is that what you're saying to me when we first meet?" and tries to leave. Takuya desperately tries to stop him, but Taka blurts out, "I'm really just an ordinary person. That's why I don't think I can keep up."
