Saiki's mother, Miwako (played by Sei Matobu), has the innate ability to heal injuries and wounds. She became addicted to dope and spent many years in a rehabilitation facility. When she finally left the facility, she confessed to Saiki that she had been carrying dope, saying, "I was on the verge of repeating my mistakes again."
Saiki is surprised by her mother's confession. When Miwako touches the dope she has taken out of her desk drawer, a certain image begins to play in her head. It shows Miwako being handed the dope by a white-haired Jiu (Iura Arata), who says, "You already know. This is the only way to regain your lost strength."
Saiki has the ability to "predict the future," allowing images of future events to flow into his brain, but this was the first time he had seen images of the past. Saiki was shocked, saying, "When I touched this (dope), images popped into my head. I saw the past, not the future."
Saiki has recently awakened to the supernatural power of "psychometry," which allows him to see the past associated with an object when he touches it. Social media has been buzzing with comments such as, "Saiki has a different supernatural power! Psychometry is getting more interesting," "Being able to see both the past and the future is the most powerful thing, isn't it, Saiki-chan?", "A new supernatural power?! What effect will this have on Saiki-kun?" and "Oh, a new power has been awakened in Kai-chan!"
