Images and videos from the "second inn scene" from the film "Haunted Property Zoku: Scary Layout" (directed by Hideo Nakata ), starring Shota Watanabe of the popular group "Snow Man," were released on August Getsuku.

The original work is the "Haunted Property Ghost Stories: Scary Floor Plans" series (Futami Shobo) by comedian Matsubara Tanishi, who actually lives in haunted properties. A film version of the same name, starring Kamenashi Kazuya, was released in 2020. Following on from the previous film, this one is directed by Nakata, who led the Japanese horror boom with "Ring" (1998).

Watanabe, in his first solo lead role in a film and his first foray into horror, plays the protagonist, Kuwata Yahiro, a celebrity who lives in haunted properties. Unable to give up on his dream of becoming a celebrity, Yahiro moves to Tokyo from Fukuoka and, through a series of unexpected events, begins working as a celebrity who lives in haunted properties. The story follows him as he visits a variety of haunted properties in search of material, including a room that is sure to be haunted, an old inn with a bad reputation, and a shared house where spirits appear, in order to uncover the mysteries hidden within. Hata Meiku plays the heroine, Haruhara Karin, and Yoshida Kotaro plays Mei Hata Kotaro Yoshida, the president of the talent agency to which Yahiro belongs.

The newly released "second inn scene" is a lengthy video lasting over three minutes. After first encountering a ghost in the large public bath, Yahiro hurries back to his guest room, where an unpleasant "bang! bang!" rings out from the ceiling. Trembling with fear, Yahiro heads upstairs with his smartphone light in hand to find out what the sound is, and heads in the direction of the sound, which gradually gets louder, until he finally finds the "epicenter." Breathing heavily, Yahiro timidly opens the door and tries to peer into the room with half his face, his expression expressing both melancholy and a morbid curiosity.
