The 72nd episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on July 8th, and viewers responded to the exchange between Tokairin ( Kenjiro Tsuda) and the deputy editor-in-chief Torii (Furukawa Koji).
In the 72nd episode, Taka is brought to the Kochi Shimpo late at night and is told to draw an illustration to go with the article. Nobu (Imada) watches from the shadows as Taka draws with fervor as the deadline approaches. When Tokairin sees the finished drawing, he is impressed and says, "Not bad. I'm working on correcting the difficult-to-understand text." Torii immediately responds, "It's my article," to which Tokairin replies, "Hahaha! No, well... I meant to say it's easier to understand..."
Later, when Nobu was holding a roundtable discussion for war orphans, Torii, seeing what was going on, criticized Tokairin, saying, "Are you really planning to publish a roundtable discussion for children like this? Isn't that naive?" and "The theme of this discussion is reconstruction, right? It is America that will steer the ship of reconstruction."
Tokairin replied, "The Americans just dropped incendiary bombs on everything they could get their hands on and burned everything down, which is why the town is filled with orphans like those children." Torii responded, "It's the result of war. It can't be helped," to which Tokairin retorted, "If you're going to brush it off as unavoidable, then quit your job as an editorial writer!"
