NHK's history program "Rekishi Tantei" (General) will air "The Master Castle Builder of the Warring States Period, Todo Takatora" from 10 pm on June 25th. The show will look into the castle-building techniques of Todo Takatora, a warlord who served as the right-hand man of Toyotomi Hidenaga, the protagonist of next year's taiga drama "Toyotomi Brothers!", by examining three castles.
The story features fascinating castles, including the impregnable stone castle that was born from an encounter with Hidenaga, the great plan to move the castle tower that played a part in Ieyasu's conquest of the country, and castles suited to the peaceful era that Takatora aimed for.
The results of this special survey, a must-see for castle fans, are... In the preview, Takatora is introduced as "a Sengoku warlord who may become popular next year."
