The third season of the TV anime " Jujutsu Kaisen, " based on the popular manga by Gege Akutami that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), entitled " Culling Game Part 1," will be broadcast nationwide at 12:26 a.m. every Thursday on the MBS/TBS anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" starting January 8th. After the unprecedented "Jujutsu terrorism"Shibuya Incident depicted in the second season of the TV anime, the third season will see the start of the "Culling Game," where sorcerers kill each other. Many new characters will be appearing, and the battles are expected to become more complex and intense than ever before. Here are three key points to keep in mind before the third season begins.
◇The worst magician in history, Kamo Noritomo, the mastermind behind the Culling Game
At the end of the second season, "Shibuya Incident," it was revealed that the "someone" (fake Geto) who had been parasitizing Suguru Geto 's body was none other than Kamo Norimichi, known as the worst sorcerer in history. Kamo Norimichi was a sorcerer from the Kamo family, one of the three great families of Jujutsu alongside the Gojo and Zen'in families, and is considered a "stain on the three great families" due to his numerous misdeeds, including the inhumane creation of the special-grade cursed object, the Cursed Womb Nine Phases, during the Meiji period.
Choso , who played an active role in the Shibuya Incident , is the incarnation of "Number 1," one of the nine cursed fetuses created by Kamo Norimichi, and when he confronted the fake Geto, he was the first to recognize its true identity, calling it a "hateful being who toyed with his mother." Choso also feels a "blood connection" with Yuji Itadori, and after the Shibuya Incident, they act together as "big brothers." Incidentally, Kamo Norimichi, a third-year student at Kyoto's Jujutsu Technical College, is also a member of the Kamo family, and as his name is pronounced the same way, "Kamo/Nori-toshi," he is depicted as surprised, saying, "Me!?"
Kamo Norimichi possesses the magic formula to switch bodies, and says that "Kamo Norimichi is just one of many names," so his true identity remains a mystery. He speaks of the "next stage of humanity" and causes a Culling Game in which sorcerers kill each other to achieve his goal.
◇Tengen, the key to the domestic barrier
Tengen is one of the important characters who appears in full force in "Culling Game Part 1." Tengen possesses the formula for immortality and is the key figure in the domestic barrier at the lowest level of the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical College. He only appears by name in the second season of the TV anime, "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu." In the anime, Yoshiko Sakakibara is the voice actor.
Tengen, who has been alive for over 500 years, will appear in a major incident in the world of Jujutsu, the sealing of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of the modern era, and the Culling Game.
◇The struggle for the headship of the Zen'in family: Zen'in Naoya's plot
The appearance of Zen'in Naoya, the son of Zen'in Naobito, the 26th head of the Zen'in family, in "Culling Game Part 1" has also been a hot topic. Zen'in Naoya is a popular character in the original work, and in the anime he is voiced by Koji Yusa. After the Shibuya Incident, a battle for the headship of the Zen'in family broke out, and Zen'in Naoya, who is aiming for the position of head, plots to assassinate Megumi Fushiguro and attacks Itadori and Choso. What kind of existence is the Zen'in family, which is the source of this conflict?
Up until now, the Zen'in family has been portrayed as one in which the idea that "if you're not a Zen'in, you're not a sorcerer; if you're not a sorcerer, you're not a human" has taken root. Maki Zenin and Fushiguro (Zen'in) Toji , who were born with almost no cursed power, were ostracized and both left the Zen'in family. Fushiguro Jinji was Megumi Fushiguro's father, and lost his life in a battle with a young Satoru Gojo during their time at Jujutsu Technical College. Toji , he was resurrected by the curse user Ogami Granny's necromancy and confronted Megumi. Upon learning that Megumi's last name wasn't "Zen'in," he remarked, "Oh, it's not Zen'in. That's a relief."
The struggle for the headship of the Zen'in family, where various motives are intertwined, is likely to be one of the points of interest in "Culling Game Part 1." (Shiroinu/MANTANWEB)
