On May 24th, singer Hiromi Go kicked off his nationwide tour "Hiromi Go Concert Tour 2025 "70 YEARS a GO!" at the Sun City Hall in Saitama (Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture).
Go will be turning 70 this October. This year's tour, which will mark his 70th birthday, will have the themes of "revival" and "evolution" and will feature a total of 36 performances in 23 cities across the country. The concert began with his 111th single, "The Most Invincible Dong Dong Dong!" (on sale May 28th). He then performed songs that will be irresistible to old fans, such as "Flowers and Bees" (1974) and "Invited to Flamenco" (1975).
While entertaining fans with familiar numbers such as "I Can't Say It" (1994) and "240 Million Eyes - Exotic Japan" (1984), they also made their first performance of "GO! Ojaru" (2025), the ending theme of the popular NHK Educational TV anime "Ojarumaru."
Go told the fans in the audience, "The theme of the concert is 'revival' and 'evolution'! It might sound like a contradiction, but if you compare now with when I was a teenager, I've evolved little by little, and I think you can call that growth. For this nationwide tour, we've hired four arrangers to arrange our old songs, so I hope you enjoy seeing how we've changed."
During the concert, Go also announced that he would be performing at Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) on October 18th, his 70th birthday, and the following day, October 19th.
