Singer Seiko Matsuda will appear on the music program "MUSIC FAIR" (Fuji TV) which will be broadcast from 6:00 pm on May 31st.
It's been 45 years since she debuted in 1980 with the single "Hadashi no Kisetsu." She has appeared on the show 38 times. Selected hits and classics will be featured in the program from past footage. The video of her first appearance is her fifth debut song, "Natsu no Tobira," and shows the innocent smile of a 19-year-old who still has a sense of nervousness.
Looking back on the video of his first appearance, Matsuda said, "I remember that day like it was yesterday," and reminisced, "Over the past 45 years, I've come across many wonderful songs and had the pleasure of singing them on this 'MUSIC FAIR'."
The video will trace Matsuda's footsteps over the past 45 years, showcasing not only his 1980s hits such as "Blue Lagoon," "The Secret Garden," and "Heavenly Kiss," but also footage of him singing 2020's "A Single Flower Facing the Wind" and last year's "Red Sweet Pea English Jazz Ver."
