Minami Tanaka, a freelance announcer and actor, and the fashion brand "KEITAMARUYAMA" have collaborated to release a yukata on June 21st. Advance reservations will start on May 24th. A visual of Tanaka wearing the yukata has also been released.
The collaboration was initiated when designer Maruyama Keita appeared on Tanaka's radio show and Tanaka said, "I fell in love at first sight with this brand's yukata, but I couldn't get my hands on one, and I still want one now."
The yukata will be released as "MINAMI TANAKA × KEITAMARUYAMA Yukata". The two designs are the "ceramic small flower pattern" used in the yukata from 2016, which was the catalyst for the collaboration, and the brand's signature "Oriental Flower pattern" (2004 Spring/Summer collection). The lineup includes four items, including a summer dress and a bag with peacock embroidery.
To commemorate the release, an Instagram Live featuring Tanaka and Maruyama will be streamed on the brand's official Instagram from 8pm on May 22nd. A talk show to commemorate the release will be held on the rooftop of Tokyu Plaza Ginza (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) on August 2nd. 50 people will be invited by lottery from those who pre-ordered the product.
