Fuji Television's new announcers, who joined the company in April, were unveiled on the official website "Fuji Television Announcers." The four announcers are Mion Asakura, Hana Ishiwata, Taisei Murooka, and Ema Yoshioka. The site also lists their hobbies, special skills, mottos, and messages.
Asakura is from Tokyo and graduated from the School of Commerce at Waseda University. She has a brilliant career, including a full marathon time of 3 hours 57 minutes, a pre-1st grade Eiken certificate, and was the runner-up in the Miss World Japan 2023 pageant.
Ishiwata is from Tokyo and graduated from the Faculty of Letters at Chuo University. Her hobbies include watching musicals and Zumba dancing, and her special skill is "memorizing paths I've walked once." In 2022, she won the runner-up prize at the Miss Chuo Contest.
Murooka is from Fukuoka Prefecture and is a "science enthusiast" who majored in mechanical engineering at the Kyushu University Graduate School of Engineering. His special skill is "finding the North Star immediately," and he is also a sportsman who played catcher in baseball for many years.
Yoshioka is from Hyogo Prefecture and graduated from the Department of Sociology at Kwansei Gakuin University. Her hobbies include visiting shrines and temples, reading manga and watching anime, and she has obtained various qualifications, including as a curator, disaster prevention specialist, and intermediate archaeological certification. She is the 2023 Miss Japan Grand Prix winner.
Fifteen new announcers from the FNS network will also take part in the announcing training, which will take place from May 12th to 23rd, and will learn how to report on disasters and read news scripts so that they can be immediately effective in the event of a disaster. Senior announcers will also provide guidance on live reports and studio presentation interviews, and they will hone their announcing skills through practice.
