It has been announced that the first digital photo book of professional baseball player Mori Keito of the Yokohama DeNA Baystars, "Yokohama DeNA Baystars Mori Keito 'Hotel Date'" (Shogakukan), will be released on April 24th.
Mori will play every game in the 2024 Japan Series as a shortstop, contributing to the team's victory. In March of this year, he was also selected for the Samurai Japan team.
He is also known as one of the most handsome players in the baseball world, and the photobook is based on the theme of a "hotel date." He was photographed in a rented suite, showing off his suit, knitted casual clothes, and pajamas. The photos cover over 80 pages, and a candid interview of over 5,000 words is also included.
Mori commented, "This was my first time doing such a full-scale shoot. It was an unknown world to me, so I was a bit embarrassed at first (laughs), but the staff's encouragement and the atmosphere helped me to be better. I think it was a really fun shoot. Personally, it was a fresh experience for me to wear a knitted costume and let my bangs down, and it helped me to expand my possibilities a little."
Teammate Yamazaki Yasuaki commented, "It shows a more mature side of him that you don't see at the baseball stadium! His childlike innocence is apparent in his casual gestures, and the contrast is captivating!"
