Stills from the film "National Treasure" (directed by Lee Sang-il, scheduled for release on June 6th), starring Ryo Yoshizawa and co-starring Ryusei Yokohama, have been released.
The original work is a full-length novel of the same name by Shuichi Yoshida, known for works such as "Parade" and "Park Life." It is a masterpiece of over 800 pages in two volumes that was serialized in the Asahi Shimbun from 2017 and published in book form in 2018. Set in Japan during the period of high economic growth from the postwar period, the story follows the epic tale of a young man born into a clan of yakuza gangsters, but taken in by the family of kabuki actor Hanjiro Hanai (Ken Watanabe), who meets Hanjiro's heir, Shunsuke (Ryusei Yokohama), and how the two men, with completely opposite bloodlines, risk their lives to devote their lives to the arts.
In the released scene cuts, Kikuo and Shunsuke, who are pursuing to become real actors, show their passionate feelings towards each other, exchanging sharp glares, Kikuo who is determined to throw himself into the art under the guidance of Hanjiro, and Shunsuke who is serious as he practices, trying to master every move of the Living National Treasure Onogawa Manju (Tanaka Min). In addition, the stage performance of the lovely "Futari Fujimusume" performed by Kikuo and Shunsuke is shown.
