In the previous episode, episode 14, Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) is in high spirits after receiving a prize for a manga he submitted to a newspaper. Meanwhile, Nobu (Imada) learns that it was Chihiro (Motoki Nakazawa) who saved him when he nearly fell during a bread-eating contest. On the way back from a delivery, Kusakichi (Sadao Abe), Nobu, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai Nanoka Hara) are eating shaved ice on the beach. At that moment, Takashi and Chihiro arrive at Kusakichi's call. Nobu conveys his thanks and gratitude to Chihiro.
Seeing the two of them talking face to face, Taku's heart became uneasy...and so the story unfolded.
In episode 15, Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima), who has not been heard from for eight years, suddenly returns.
Although he still has some lingering resentment towards Tomiko, Taku is happy when her manga is praised. Meanwhile, Nobu, who is passing by, spots Chihiro reading a book while sitting on a seesaw, saying that she cannot be as happy as her brother. Nobu comes across Taku and his son, who are chatting in the shopping district, with a troubled look on his face, and tearfully tells Tomiko how he feels. But what does Nobu think?
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
