The fourth installment of the "NTV Pro Wrestling Super Masterpiece Theater" event, which shows famous matches from Nippon TV's live wrestling broadcasts, will be held on June 8th at "CBGK Shibugeki!!" in Shibuya, Tokyo. Titled "Our Mitsuharu Misawa Special," the event will feature announcer Akira Fukuzawa, "Pro Wrestling Four Heavenly Kings" Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, and Akira Taue, and will look back on famous matches by the late Mitsuharu Misawa, who was born and passed away in June.
The event screens the best bouts selected from live broadcasts of Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH, and the first one was held in January 2023. Kobashi and Fukuzawa have been the hosts since the first event.
This time, the program will focus on Misawa, who was active as the second Tiger Mask in the 1980s, and led All Japan Pro Wrestling in the 1990s as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings of Pro Wrestling" along with Kawada, Kobashi, and Taue. He also founded Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2000, but passed away on June 13, 2009.
Additionally, each of the four will screen their own "My Best Mitsuharu Misawa Bout." The most popular "Mitsuharu Misawa Best Bout," "Mitsuharu Misawa Best Finish," and "Best Entrance Scene" voted for by fans will also be shown on the screen.
The show will begin at 2:00 PM on June 8th, with an "overtime" period starting at 4:30 PM. Tickets are 8,000 yen for reserved seats and 10,000 yen for overtime.
