A new visual and short PV of the engine that appears in the TV anime " Gachiakuta ", based on the battle action manga by Kei Urana Kei currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), have been released. The visual combines the engine drawn by character designer and chief animation director Satoshi Ishino with the character graffiti logo created by Hideyoshi Ando, who is in charge of the "graffiti design" of the original work, and shows the engine holding an umbrella and saying the line, "Let's clean up."
Voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi said, "Engine's charm is simply its 'looseness.' He's usually loose, but when it matters, he's firm! That kind of depth is mysterious and fascinating." The short PV is peppered with memorable lines from the original work.
"Gachiakuta" began serialization in February 2022 in "Weekly Shonen Magazine." The story is about an orphan boy named Rudo who was born in a slum where the descendants of criminals live. He makes a living using his extraordinary physical abilities, but one day he is framed for a crime he did not commit and is thrown into the "abyss" that even the people of the slums fear. The series won the Global Special Award in the comics category of the "Next Manga Awards 2022."
The anime will be broadcast on CBC TV/TBS's anime slot "Agaru Anime" from July.
