To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" (Fuji TV, Sundays at 6pm), based on the popular manga by Sakura Momoko, it has been announced that "35th Anniversary of the Anime! Maruko and Her Fun Friends Spring Sakura Momoko Festival" will be broadcast from April 6th to May 25th. This popular project airs the most popular episodes from the original manga and Sakura's scripts written for previous anime series, with new illustrations and direction, and will feature a lineup of 10 episodes, including "The Hanawa Residence Finally Opens to the Public," "The Nagasawa Family's Housewarming Party," "Maruo-kun Finally Runs for the Third Term Class Representative Election," and "Memories of the Coat."
In "The Hanawa Residence Finally Opens to the Public," Maruko and her friends go to visit the mansion of the wealthy Hanawa-kun. In "The Nagasawa-kun Housewarming Party," about a year has passed since Nagasawa-kun's house burned down, and he has finally built a new house, so Maruko and her friends are invited to the housewarming party. Nagasawa-kun is happy that he is the star today, but he is thrown into a tailspin by Yamada-kun's mishap.
In "Maruo-kun finally runs for class representative in the third term election," Maruo-kun, Migiwa-san, Ebisu-kun, and Maruko become candidates for class representative in the third term through candidacy and recommendation.
